READER PROMOTION
- These conditions of entry relate to ‘Old Dogs’ reader competition organised by Fairfax Community Newspapers ABN 77 000 310 654 of Level 1, 33 Moore Street, Liverpool NSW 2170.
- By entering the competition, entrants shall be deemed to agree with these conditions of entry.
- Entry is open to all NSW residents except all employees and the immediate families of Fairfax Community Newspapers and all their associated advertising agencies, who are ineligible to enter.
- The Competition commences on 1st December 2009 at 0:01 (AEST) and concludes on 8th December 2009 at 17:00 (AEST) or with last mail received.
- Participants must provide the following details on the back of an envelope: their name, address and newspaper from which they are entering and write in 25 words of less “Why you deserve to WIN!” to be eligible to win. Entries should be sent to: WIN – Old Dogs Tickets C/- Marketing Dept, 1 Worth Street, Chullora NSW 2190
- The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Tickets are not to be re-sold. There are 200 family passes (each pass admits 4) to be won for Special Preview Screening on 16th December 2009 at 6:00pm at the following cinemas: Greater Union Miranda; Greater Union Liverpool; Event Cinema Parramatta; Event Cinema Campbelltown – Each pass (admits 4) is valued at $22.00 each
- The prize and values are as follows: 200 Winners will each receive 1 Family pass (Admits 4) valued at $22.00 – Total value of price $4,400.00
- The winners will be drawn at 10:00 (AEST) on Wednesday 9th December 2009. The draw will take place at Fairfax Community Newspapers, 1 Worth Street, Chullora, NSW 2190. If the winner is under the age of 18 years the prize will be awarded to their parent or legal guardian.
- Entries will be selected by a panel of judges and will be determined on the creativity and wit of words only of their 25 Words or less answer. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. Winners will be notified by mail.
- All entries become the property of the Promoter. All entries will be entered into a database and the Promoter and may potentially use the entrants’ names, addresses and telephone numbers for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid unless otherwise advised by the entrant.

Sydney FC’s Alex Brosque is on his way to Oman after being added to the Socceroos squad in a great reward for his brilliant form this season.

Last week Prime Minister Kevin Rudd launched an attack on the state of planning in Australian cities.
Mr Rudd appeared to be palming off criticism by a Business Council of Australia report a few days earlier that questioned the federal government’s infrastructure planning and spending commitments.
Cleverly, Mr Rudd diverted the national headlines by pointing to a yet-to-be-released report from Treasury that predicts Australia will grow to 35 million by 2050. This estimate is significantly higher than previous guesses. [Read more]
